Spirits with clear origins can go back on sale

Government restricts exports of alcoholic beverages
The Minister of Health has announced a ban on exports of spirits containing alcohol of at least 20% by volume. This was the Government’s response to the European Commission’s own plans to declare a ban.

The government is to ease the liquor ban within a week
Within a week, ministers will prepare measures that will permit the distribution of spirits from new production and the release of liquor stocks that have been banned from sales.

Sale of hard liquor banned
Amid a growing number of methanol poisoning cases, the Ministry of Health has banned the serving and sale of liquors with ethanol content of 20% and higher.

Sale of spirits by street stands banned until further notice
The Ministry of Health has imposed an extraordinary measure in an effort to put a stop to a methanol-poisoning emergency. As announced by Minister Heger today, the ministry has banned street stands from serving poured alcohol until further notice.
