He studied in Hořice at the School of Sculpture and Stonemasonry, shortly at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (1968), during his emigration he graduated at the State Art Academy in Düsseldorf (1976-1982). Since 1995 he has been living in Bohemia where he has been heading a sculptural studio at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts. He has been obtained several prestige awards and has performed number of public executions, e.g. the sculpture in the seat of the North Rhine-Westphalia government in Düsseldorf (1991), the sculpture for the seat of the government in Münster (1992), he presented his works at many solo and collective exhibitions in Germany, France and Bohemia.
