On Friday, 17 May 2019, an information meeting was held at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic on the forthcoming fourth call of the Structural Reform Support Programme (SRSP). The meeting was opened by the State Secretary for European Affairs Milena Hrdinkov√°. The State Secretary appreciated the contribution of this programme and provided specific data demonstrating that the Czech Republic has been successful in drawing on the SRSP. The SRSP Coordinator Laura Rinaldi spoke at the meeting for the European Commission and provided the delegates with up-to-date information on the upcoming call.

Subsequently, a wide-ranging discussion was held in which representatives of ministries and other national institutions asked about the specific attributes of this year's call and also described their previous experience with this programme.

The SRSP was set up two years ago to assist Member States in implementing structural measures, with the increased budget for 2017-2020 it achieves a total amount of 222.8 million euro. This directly managed programme provides "tailor-made" support for the implementation of internal reforms - from preparation to the implementation of set initiatives. The Czech Republic will also support the development of this form of cooperation in the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework, in the form of the Technical support instrument under the upcoming Reform Support Programme.
