V4 Prime Ministers issue joint declaration before the European Council
Prime Ministers of the Visegrad Group met for their customary coordination meeting before the meeting of the European Council. Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico issued a joint declaration in which they expressed their views on further cooperation in migration, security, Association Agreement with Ukraine, and the Digital Single Market.

Prime Minister Sobotka and the Prime Minister Szydlová meet in Český Těšín with representatives of the Polish minority living in the Czech Republic
On Monday 12 December 2016 the heads of government of the Czech Republic and Poland, Bohuslav Sobotka and Beata Szydlová met with the representatives of the Polish minority living around the area of Těšín at the literary café and reading room Avion in Český Těšín.

Prime Minister Sobotka meets with Polish Prime Minister, Szydlová. Topics include the protection of the environment, security and transport
On Monday 12 December 2016, the Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka visited the Polish Republic. At a château in Visla he met with the Polish Prime Minister, Szydlová,with whom he inter alia discussed mutual trade and investment opportunities, protection of the environment and the transport infrastructure. In the afternoon the two Prime Ministers will meet in Český Těšín with representatives of the Polish national minority in the Czech Republic, the largest part of which lives in the Český Těšín region. Prime Minister Sobotka thus continues the endeavour to further strengthen close Czech-Polish relations including support for cross-border cooperation.

The Mayor of Vienna Michael Häupl receives from the hand of Prime Minister Sobotka a medal of Karel Kramář
On Thursday 8 December 2016 Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka awarded a commemorative medal of Karel Kramář to the Mayor of the city of Vienna, Michael Häuplin, in the Kramář Villa. The prime Minister thus granted Michael Häupl a token of appreciation for the long-term prime maintenance of good Czech-Austrian relations.

Prime Minister, Bohuslav Sobotka, meets with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon
Prime Minister, Bohuslav Sobotka met on Thursday 1 December 2016 with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. At meetings held in Kramář Villa they talked about bilateral relationships, the possible development of economic cooperation and on the security-cum-political situation in the region of Central Asia.

Prime Minister Sobotka and President Hollande have agreed on the need to restore confidence in the EU
The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Bohuslav Sobotka, met on Wednesday 30 November 2016 with the French President François Hollande. In the Kramář Villa in Prague they held discussions on the future of the European Union and the pressure for reform. They also talked about the further strengthening of bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and France.

Prime Minister Sobotka talked with the President of Serbia, Nikolić on the integration of Serbia into the EU as well as on economic cooperation
Prime Minister, Bohuslav Sobotka held talks on Wednesday 30 November 2016, in Kramář Villa with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić, on economic cooperation between the two countries, police cooperation in the context of the management of the migration crisis and to support the endeavours of Serbia in relation to its integration into the EU.

Prime Minister Sobotka thanks the German ambassador von Loringhoven for his friendly tenure of office in the Czech Republic
On Tuesday of 29 November 2016 at the Kramář Villa, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka received the fully-accredited Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany A. F. Freytag von Loringhoven. Prime Minister Sobotka thanked the retiring German Ambassador for his two-year term of office and the high level of cooperation which has significantly contributed to further enhancement of Czech-German relations.

Prime Minister Sobotka attends the annual meeting of the Czech-Israeli Chamber of Commerce
On Tuesday, 24 November 2016 the Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka attended the celebratory meeting of the Czech-Israeli Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its foundation. The Prime Minister appreciated especially the twenty years of active work of the Chamber, which is also one of the longest-functioning Chambers of Commerce in the Czech Republic.
