ANNEX to the Coalition Agreement

ANNEX

to the Coalition Agreement between the Czech Social Democratic Party, the Christian Democratic Union - Czechoslovak People's Party, and the Freedom Union - Democratic Union of 9 July 2002

In accordance with Article XI.2 of the Coalition Agreement of 9 July 2002, the Czech Social Democratic Party, the Christian Democratic Union - Czechoslovak People's Party, and the Freedom Union - Democratic Union agree to this Annex:

Should the Government draw the conclusion that a bill is a condition for its further continuation within the framework of the Coalition Agreement, it shall specify this bill as fundamental in negotiations within the coalition. After due discussion of such a bill, in accordance with the Coalition Agreement all members of coalition parliamentary clubs shall support this bill.

 The Parties acknowledge the decision of the US-DEU of 17 September 2002:

1. Breach of this Annex shall result in the departure of Ministers representing the US-DEU from the Government.
2. In such a case members of the US-DEU Parliamentary Club shall not cast votes in favour of a motion of no confidence in the Government.

The Parties acknowledge the decision of the KDU-CSL of 17 September 2002, whereby the KDU-CSL shall remain in the Government even if the US-DEU is not in the Government for failing to observe the obligations stemming from the Coalition Agreement and the rules for the approval of the Government's fundamental legislative proposals.
