The Government Office Will Commence This Year’s Open House Season on 1 May by Opening the Liechtenstein Palace to the Public
Visitors may tour the historic and ceremonial buildings of the Government Office on selected days and public holidays throughout 2025. The public will have the opportunity to see the premises where the Prime Minister receives foreign dignitaries and guests, and which are associated with significant figures from our history. This year's series of open house days will begin on 1 May at the Liechtenstein Palace on Kampa Island, with the season of popular guided tours concluding on 17 November at Hrzánský Palace.
The Government Office will organise thirteen open days this year: four at Liechtenstein Palace, four at Hrzánský Palace, three at Kramář’s Villa, and two at Straka Academy. From May until mid-October, the garden of the Straka Academy will be open every Saturday. In May, the Government Office will again participate in the Open House Prague festival, when Hrzánský Palace in Hradčany will be accessible to the public on both days, 17 and 18 May.
“We hold open house days at our facilities several times throughout the year, and I am always delighted by the tremendous interest shown. It is wonderful to see how many people are interested in history and the places where significant events of our history have taken place and continue to take place,” stated Jana Kotalíková, Head of the Government Office.
Tours of the historic buildings during open house days will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., whilst the garden will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tours as part of the Open House festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
