Press release by Mirek Topolánek, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, on the presidential elections in the Russian Federation

I congratulate Dmitry Anatolevich Medvedev on his significant victory in the presidential elections.

I also wish him much success in the governance of the Russian Federation, which I regard as a friendly country.

I trust that democratic reforms will continue in the spirit of his pre-election declarations.

I believe that the Czech Republic will enjoy universal cooperation with the new leadership of the Russian Federation, just as it did with the old one.
