The Government Discussed Changes in Anti-epidemic Measures
The government discussed changes in the anti-epidemic measures prepared by the Ministry of Health in connection with the growing wave of the Covid-19 epidemic. From 25 October, the requirement to wear a respirator in all indoor areas of buildings, including workplaces, will be reintroduced, with specified exceptions, e.g. for teaching staff during lessons or for employees who are alone in the workplace.
From 1 November, operators of restaurants, clubs, discos and other similar establishments will be obliged to check the proof of OTN, i.e. whether customers have a valid test, have been vaccinated or have a certificate of being past Covid-19. The period of validity of the tests will also be reduced – the antigen test will now be valid for 24 hours only, the PCR test for 72 hours. At the same time, the ministry decided to limit reimbursement for SARS-CoV-2 preventive tests. Only persons under 18 years of age, persons who are cannot be vaccinated due to a medical condition and persons who have received at least one dose of vaccination will now be entitled to a free test (RAT test for antigen every seven days and two PCR tests per calendar month).
At the same time, the age limit for children who do not have to provide the proof of OTN is increased from six to twelve years, and if it is an organised sports competition, the age limit is increased to 18 years.
