On Wednesday, 19 November 2025, the outgoing Prime Minister Petr Fiala met with President Bajram Begai of the Republic of Albania at the Kramář Villa. The main topics of the meeting were the current international situation, the progress of Albania's accession negotiations to the European Union and economic cooperation. The Prime Minister praised the dynamic development of Czech-Albanian relations and Albania's role in strengthening stability in the Western Balkans.

"The Czech-Albanian relations are excellent. Albania has taken a giant leap forward and is an example of a successful transition to a prosperous democratic country. That is why we support its admission to the European Union as part of the Community’s enlargement," said outgoing Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

They also discussed security in Europe in the context of the Russian aggression in Ukraine. They briefly mentioned the assessment of mutual economic ties, which have been growing steadily in recent years. The discussion focused on opportunities for cooperation in the energy, industry, education and other sectors. Prime Minister Fiala praised the involvement of Czech companies in the Albanian market and their readiness to develop new projects. At the end, both delegations agreed on the interest to further strengthen trade and investment relations.
