Pavel Blažek
Minister of Justice
Pavel Blažek was born in Brno, where he graduated at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University. During 1992–2002 he worked as an internal lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno, in the field of administrative law and administrative science. He has been a lawyer since 1996, although his practice has been suspended at his own request since 2012.
He joined ODS in 1998. In 2012 he became Minister of Justice. In the 2013 elections he was elected as a member of Parliament of the Czech Republic. In the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in 2017 and 2021 he defended his parliamentary seat in the South Moravian Region.
