Born on 9th April 1973 in České Budějovice
Education
He finished the Secondary School of Civil Engineering in 1991. In 1995 he passed his school-leaving examination at the Medical High School Bílá Vločka in the Paramedic study program. He then graduated at the First Medical Faculty of the Charles University in Prague with a major in Anesthesiology.
Professional and public activities
Since 2002 he worked as a doctor in the South Bohemia Emergency Medical Service and as an anesthesiologist at the Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Unit of the Cardio Surgery Department of the České Budějovice Hospital, Inc.
In 2003 he became a member of the local organization of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) in České Budějovice and was elected chairman of the South Bohemian Civic Democratic Party in 2008.
In 2006 he was elected to the City Council of České Budějovice as a representative and in the same year he started working as the Deputy Governor of the South Bohemia Region responsible for local development, transportation and European affairs.
Martin Kuba has been the Minister of Industry and Trade since 16 November 2011.
Business activities
Since 2004 he operates a Fornetti franchise bakery in Mercury Centrum, České Budějovice.
In 2007 he became a founder and partner in the Fruit Frog – fruit cocktails network.
