Personal details
Ing. Andrej Babiš was born on 2 September 1954. He has four children.
Education
He graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Faculty of Commerce, specialising in foreign trade.
Professional and public activity
In 1978, he started work in the foreign trade company Chemapol Bratislava. In the autumn of 1985, he was sent to Morocco as a delegate of the Slovak company Petrimex, where he represented approximately 15 foreign trade companies, e.g. Ligna or Motokov. He returned to Petrimex in Bratislava in 1991, where he worked as director of the commercial group.
In January 1993, he founded Agrofert in Prague with four co-workers.
He has been Chairman of the ANO political movement since August 2012.

He speaks French, German, English and Russian.
