Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka discusses the Energy Union at the European Council meeting
On Thursday, 19 March and Friday 20 March, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka attended a meeting of the European Council in Brussels. The meeting of heads of state and heads of governments of member states focused mainly on the Energy Union project. EU leaders also discussed the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and economic support.

Prime minister holds talks in Brussels with EP chairman and Commission deputy chairman
On Thursday, 19 March 2015, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka continued a series of meetings with EU leaders. Before the commencement of the European Council meeting, the prime minister met with European Parliament Chairman Martin Schulz, European Commission First Deputy Chairman Frans Timmermans and Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič. Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka also attended talks with the heads of government from the other V4 countries.

On Wednesday, 18 March, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka began a series of bilateral talks with EU leaders in Brussels. Today the prime minister met with European Council Chairman Donald Tusk and subsequently with European Commission Chairman Jean-Claude Juncker.

Cabinet Adopts Resolution Approving the Passage of NATO Forces through the Czech Territory at the End of March 2015
The Cabinet discussed today a report of Defense Minister Martin Stropnický regarding the passage of U.S. forces through the Czech Republic. The convoy is scheduled to traverse the Czech territory at the end of March 2015.

Prime Minister Sobotka appoints Pelikán as Justice Minister
On Thursday, 12 March 2015, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka appointed Robert Pelikán as the new Minister of Justice. He has replaced Helena Válkova, who as of 1 March 2015 resigned from the ministerial post. Pelikán was nominated to the position of Justice Minister by the chairman of the co-governing ANO party.

Government discusses information about the missing Czech citizen in Libya
Today the Czech Republic discussed as an important item on its agenda the situation of a Czech citizen who has been missing since an attack on Friday by armed terrorists at an oil field in al-Ghani, Libya. Bohuslav Sobotka's cabinet included the item on the agenda of the meeting to follow up from the Saturday and Sunday meeting by crisis staff of the Foreign Ministry.

Prime Minister Sobotka holds talks with the management of prominent Korean companies on their investments in the Czech Republic
At the end of his official visit to South Korea, Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, accompanied by a government delegation, visited several production plants of leading Korean companies. During his tour of these factories, he held talks with the management of Hyundai, Nexen Tire and Doosan Industries on their investments in the Czech Republic.

Czech Premier Sobotka Meets Korean President Park Geun-hye to Discuss Deepening of Cooperation between the Two Countries
Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and Minister of Transport Dan Ťok met on Thursday 26 February 2015 with President of Korea Park Geun-hye as part of the Czech Cabinet's working trip to Korea. During the meeting, the officials discussed ways of developing cooperation between Korea and the Czech Republic and subsequently signed important memoranda on deepening exchange between the two countries in numerous fields.
