Karel Havlíček becomes Minister of Transport
On 24 January 2020, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček to the function of Transport Minister. Outgoing Transport Minister Vladimír Kremlík passed the office over to his successor.

Prime Minister Andrej Babiš attends World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem
On Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 January 2020, PM Andrej Babiš visited Israel in order to attend a ceremony commemorating the Holocaust and its victims. He had talks with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and met with Czech Holocaust survivors.

PM Andrej Babiš talks with Federal Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz about transport infrastructure development
At the invitation of Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, the Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz visited the Czech Republic on Thursday, 16 January 2020. The visit to the Czech Republic is the chancellor's first foreign visit since being appointed to office. The two politicians primarily spoke at Kramář Villa about the transport infrastructure, the energy sector and the EU agenda, and praised the very good relations between the two countries.

Representatives of the V4 countries met in Prague along with Austrian Chancellor Kurz and agreed on unacceptability of migration quotas
On Thursday 16 January 2020, a summit of the prime ministers of the Visegrad Four with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz took place at the National Museum. Among the main topics of the talks were migration, the functioning of the EU, the multiannual financial framework, the EU climate, energy and trade policy, and the further enlargement and future of the European Union.

16 January 2020: PM Andrej Babiš welcomes prime ministers of V4 countries and Austria
On Thursday, 16 January 2020, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš will be holding talks with the prime ministers of the Visegrad Group and the Federal Chancellor of Austria at the National Museum. The V4-Austria summit will focus on current European Union issues.

On Sunday 5 January 2020, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš had lunch with President Miloš Zeman. The third joint New Year's meeting at Lány Castle was also attended by the officials' wives, Monika Babišová and Ivana Zemanová, and their children.

The country of the future for 11 million people
On 16 December 2019 the Government discussed the National Investment Plan, which presents the investment potential of the Czech Republic until 2050. It assumes nearly 20,000 project plans with a total value of approximately CZK 8 trillion. The Plan was prepared in such a way that the projects included in it would have a positive social benefit and at the same time be financially effective and, last but not least, meet the strategic objectives of the Czech Republic.

On 12 and 13 December 2019, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš attended the European Council and the Euro Summit in Brussels. The main topics discussed were climate change, the multi-annual financial framework, the European Union's external relations, the deepening of economic and monetary union and Brexit.
